This course will give you an overview of the fundamentals of needed to run basic simulations inside of ADS. At the end of this course, you should be familiar with

  • ADS Architecture, Schematics, Data Display
    • Workspace, schematic, building LPF, S-parameter simulation, plotting, tuning
    • Lab 1: ADS workspace structure, libraries and cells, basic design capture, tuning, simulation, displaying simulation results.
  • Libraries, Models and Data
    • Library, working with PDKs, cells and symbols, models, working with data
    • Lab 2: Add reference library to workspace, build filter, create test bench cell for simulation, multiple dataset manipulation.
  • Linear Simulation Tools
    • DC and AC simulation, S-parameter simulation, working with design guides
    • Lab 3: Amplifier design and linear analysis
  • Non-Linear Simulation Tools 
    • Harmonic Balance simulation, system components, equations
    • Lab 4: RF system and non-linear analysis
