MQA Fundamentals
You will learn why we need to do model quality assurance, and how to realize it with the Keysight EDA Device Modeling tool MQA.
+ Learning Objectives
- MQA Fundamentals
- We will introduce the generic device modeling flow in electronics design, and the importance of Quality Assurance in the model extraction flow. We will also talk about the capability of MQA in various scenarios.
- MQA Basic
- We will have an overview of the MQA GUI and its configuration, and we will describe most of the basic operations in MQA. We have four hands-on labs in which you will use the MQA software for you to get familiar with the basics.
- ICF file and RULE file
- We will describe the most important files in MQA - the .icf file and the .rule file - which are the heart of MQA. You can perform simulations to meet your needs after you understand these files and how to modify them. Lab 5 will let you practice customizing ICF and Rule files.
- Tabulated QA result
- We will show how to generate tabulated results directly with MQA. Lab 6 is a practice for tabulated results.
- Useful Utilities
- We will show some useful utilities in MQA, which improve the efficiency of modeling to some extent. Finally, we will practice using those utilities in Lab 7.
